Born 03. 19. 1964 in Berlin
Studied chemistry at FU - Berlin 1983 - 1992 Master 1991
In my childhood I spent a lot of time in the garden of my parents and frequently visited the zoo, the aquarium
and the botanical garden. In my youth I made trips to the south (France, Spain, Italy, Greece and
Croatia). The first landing on the moon I happened to see live on television. I also went very often to the planetarium and was fascinated by science-fiction movies. All of these experiences have left considerable marks on the motifs of my paintings.
I started painting in 1984, stimulated by an exhibition of watercolours by Karl Schmidt Rottluff in
"Brücke-Museum" Berlin. Further inspirations for me have also been two exhibitions of
Rainer Fetting in 1991 and 1995 in Berlin. Essentially, being a self-taught person, I expanded my
painting skills in an adult-college course in 1993.
My favourite painters are Vincent Van Gogh, Karl Schmidt-Rottluff and Rainer Fetting. My motifs are landscapes, human beings, animals, plants and space, painted in acrylic and in oil. The style of my portraits is also deeply influenced by comics.
